IBM’s GFET

IBM scientists have found out Graphene Field Effect Transistors of GHz frequencies. These transistors have achieved the highest frequency obtainable. Graphene is used for obtaining this transistor. Graphene is a special type of graphite that has great electronic properties leading to faster transistors. Also by improving gate dielectric materials, performance of graphene can be further improved.
